Wordless Wednesday... Paper Style in 2000!

We're turning 12 next week and have been thinking about the old days!

Dragon*Con invades Atlanta... Andrew was there!

Dragon*Con is the largest multi-media, popular culture convention focusing on science fiction and fantasy, gaming, comics, literature, art, music, and film in the universe! This year, just over 60,000 fans, guests and volunteers attended the 25th annual event over Labor Day weekend in Downtown Atlanta.

Andrew has attended each year for the last 13 years, and each year he talks someone else in the office into attending the parade that marches through a mile of Downtown Atlanta in costumes or coming down to visit for part of the weekend. We all enjoy bits and pieces of the excitement, from checking out the costumes to playing games and meeting actors, artists and authors.  Here are a few of the photos that Andrew had taken this year:

Andrew with Felicia Day - Andrew volunteers as part of the Dragon*Con Security staff, in the Operations department. One of the perks is the opportunity to meet some of the guests in a casual setting. Here he is backstage with Felicia Day, most popular for her work in TV shows “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”, “Eureka”, and “The Guild”; as well as the immensely popular Joss Whedon production “Dr. Horrible’s Sing Along Blog”.

 

Little guys even like Dragon*Con - Little Captain America - Many people enjoy creating a costume to wear of one of their favorite pop culture icons, and the excitement is always best to see a little kiddo wearing their costume and enjoying seeing all the other neat costumes. It’s also a great opportunity to start making plans for your Halloween party.

Employee Spotlight - Meet Terri!

We're proud of the Paper Style family and want you to know more about the great people that make us who we are. Here are a few words about someone who has been with us almost since the beginning... Terri!

What do you do at Paper Style? My job consist of a bunch of things!  I buy for Paper Style, I manage the designers and I do whatever needs to be done!

How long have you been working at Paper Style? 9 1/2 years

What do you do when you're not at Paper Style? Tennis was a very important part of my life that I enjoyed but now that I’m a mother of a 5 year old most of my time goes to him!

What's your proudest Paper Style moment? The day I started!!!  I love my job and I enjoy everyone that works here.

First Day of Kindergarten!

Christopher (son of Terri), Om (son of Hitesh) and Clayton (son of Boyd) all started school this week and boy were they excited!  It's yet another chapter for the Paper Style Team... and to have three start at the same time is awesome!

Georgia Fire takes 2nd Place in State Championship!

Lead pressman Boyd helped coach his daughter Aleisha's team to 2nd Place in the State Championship for the Georgia Fire!  Aleishea plays 3rd base and is 11 years old.  Way to go #9!
